Your photographies are so beautiful! They could be used in books, or wiki pages!
Also, I wanted to know if you're a student in zoology? I feel like you study ornithology !
Your knowledge in birds and your photography skills are impressive!

Thank you! Too bad NG worsen a bit the quality of photos, this is why I will post, as link, my photos in my PixelFed account too in my photography blogs in order to let people appreciate full resolution or at least a better resolution. My photos can be used as references for drawings, provided a link to the original post, because I think that sharing helps developing skills and everyone gains from it.
No, I'm not but during Chemistry university years there were free choice courses: I chose genetics, evolutionary zoology and ethology among them. There was comparative anatomy but it got closed the year I could finally choose it. Too bad, I would have loved performing dissections and studying different anatomical structures across invertebrates and vertebrates.
So yeah, most of my zoological knowledge derives from these courses, but ofc I also study by myself, and because I was taught to always cite sources of my works, this explains why my more nerd-centric blogs have these fucktons of links to other studies. Since those are not my words nor discoveries I always cite sources. This is called academic writing, I had to do an exam about it, and I'm glad I learnt this writing technique because it feels so complete and precise.
I love animals (minus chimps, ticks and mosquitoes) in general so it's natural I dive into as many facts as possible. Birds have a special place in my heart along with all reptiles.
My photography skills are yet to be professional, they are far from being professional. I am an amateur photographer and I hope in future to buy new stuff to take even more detailed pics. My passion started almost two years ago. It relaxes me but it can be frustrating sometimes. Mmmhhh.....one day I should make a blog about my photography experience.
As usual, the sheer depth of your knowledge is amazing...wish I was that educated, but I'm American. Our education systems mostly stink. In this country, if you really want to learn then often as not, you gotta find it on your own.
I would happily use a couple of your photos as references for finished works...right now, however, I am not in a position to do so. Producing quality art requires certain conditions, like dependable electric full-spectrum lighting & getting enough sleep. Once I have all my ducks lined up where they should be, I'll get to your bird photos if I remember they're still here. 👴🏼 😄
So nice!!! You are so talented for photography! ^-^ I love so much to see what brings you joy! (sorry for the short comment, studying calls me back, kisses!)
oppure facciamo all'inglese...o ci facciamo l'inglese XD
crows are very cute! ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪
Best birds (all corvids rock) along with vultures.
@ShangXian Same ^-^ They look very royal and so beautiful! I wish you luck in your photography journey! Hope you can snap a shot of the rooks and jackdaws, those would be stunning ^-^
@ShangXian giustamente è buono migliorare man mano, però secondo me, anche rivedendo qualche tua vecchia foto, sei già in gamba! Spero che tu possa continuare questa passione <3 ingleseeeee mlmlmlmlml XD

Love pictures again ^-^ The first one is my fav (I love birds with crowns). They all look very healthy and happy, at least :D
ShangXian
That crown is visible when the crow and other bird species perform that movement when preening. I like when they do it because it makes them look royal. Well, this crow is definitely one who cares about his/her health. I photographed him/her at 16:58, I will try to keep an eye on his/her preening activity to keep track of hours (this is second time I see him/her on the same perch). I now know the crows' area lunch and dining hours during springtime and autumntime after spying on them a lot, lol. I hope one day to photograph rooks and jackdaws as they are other birds present in the area, but they are more difficult to find especially the rook.
curiously "crown" is also a body part of the bird's head: https://swartzentrover.com/cotor/Photos/Hiking/Birds/BirdPages/Anatomy/blb_02_03_01.jpg
