A very busy year. Thank you for staying on Newgrounds

Busy but fruitful both irl and here^^
You are welcome!

Unfortunately 'the person who deeply touched you as an artist' still remembers that post you quoted. You left out the part where it turns out that they labeled their submissions kind of backwards. As it turned out the piece I was praising was created by another artist who 'they' commissioned to draw the piece. While I'll always appreciate people who help keeping artists fed, I thought the title was misleading.
(Anybody can feel free to disagree with me there. As somebody whose first language isn't English "Commission by: [Name]" sounds as if [Name] was the person handing over the money. It seems either the uploader or an Art Portal Moderator agreed with me there. The link is dead now and I'm not going digging to check if they re-uploaded it with a better title. Let's hope for the best, shall we.)

I'm glad for every reader who can take something positive and inspirational away from what I write, but I felt the need to move the camera back a bit to show the whole picture - so I'm not misrepresented in a 'too positive' light...
Also need to maintain my 'grumpy old person' image. ;)

I know that it's important to show the whole picture (no pun intended) of your interaction with that person, I found that interaction through a link in a forum thread while I was browsing some forum threads. I read your interaction and that last part of the comment was very beautiful in my mind and served the purpose of showing what I was saying about you. Thanks for explaining better the overall background context of the image I showed.

"Also need to maintain my 'grumpy old person' image. ;)"

^^

Oh, and also: Don't you 'dare' delete your account if you ever were to leave NG, @ShangXian. We focus on different things, but your comments are generally higher quality (as well as better worded) than mine.

I still think @YendorNG/@Yendor's departure hit this community harder than most will realize. Aside from being a very agreeable person, he wrote an _enormous_ amount of helpful posts, and comments, all of which are now lost to our little community (and artists in general).
This world has become a lesser place, just because some *******s felt the need to bully him. I hope those people [censored] and [censored-censored-censored-censored]. In a FIRE!

So if any of you, yes 'you', dear readers ever see somebody being bullied who clearly cannot defend themselves, please take the up to 2 minutes out of your day that it takes to pen up a report. It's not just 'that person' you are protecting; it is every future victim as well.

I really hope I don't have to leave the site now that it's a part of me, a big fam but as Lorenzo the Magnificent says in his Song of Bacchus, also known as The Triumph of Bacchus and Ariadne, from a collection called “Carnival Songs":

Quant’è bella giovinezza
che si fugge tuttavia:
chi vuol esser lieto, sia,
di doman non c’è certezza

which roughly translates as:

Youth is sweet and well
But doth speed away!
Let who will be gay,
To-morrow, none can tell

This site is like my Internet youth but I know things are not permanent so I will try to rejoice this experience as much as possible and after reading this comment I decided to maintain this account in the worst possible scenario in order to help others even if I am not physically present anymore and this applies even when I won't be in this world anymore.

I totally agree with the last part. It unlocked a memory for me from middle school, where while I was being bullied myself, I had witnessed a boy being bullied by my own bullies. I stood up for him and this intensified the bullying towards me but I didn't give a shit because I would have done it again a thousand times. If you have the possibility to do even just a small action to help others with your possibilities, do it always and in any case.

My mother asked me: would you do it again? Yes, I replied.

As Einstein said in a note wrote in 1953 and appeared in the French book Conversations with Casals," by Josep Maria Corredor:

"the world is in greater peril from those who tolerate or encourage evil than from those who actually commit it."

or better known in this variant:

"the world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything"
